Un cœur en hiver is a French film which was released in 1992. It was directed by Claude Sautet, stars Emmanuelle Béart, Daniel Auteuil and André Dussollier, and is distributed by Koch-Lorber Films.

The film is set in contemporary Paris and tells the story of three characters: Maxime (Dussollier), Stéphane (Auteuil) and Camille (Béart), caught in a love triangle. A violinist of rising fame, Camille begins a casual relationship with Maxime who owns a workshop which manufactures and repairs violins. When Camille arrives at the workshop to have her violin repaired, she is instantly attracted to the enigmatic and introverted Stephane, Maxime's employee and friend who seems to share the same attraction but is incapable of expressing any emotion. Convinced that she can break his cold exterior Camille becomes obsessed and soon all three of them are set on a tragic collision course.

An important part of the film is the use of chamber music by Maurice Ravel, played by Jean-Jacques Kantorow (violin), Jacques Rouvier (piano) and Philippe Muller (cello).

Jabez Stone (Alec Baldwin) is a desperate, down on his luck writer who reaches rock bottom when his close friend, Julius Jensen (Dan Aykroyd), finds success. They join the group and secure an Antonov An-225, fleeing Las Vegas as it is destroyed. The group flies to China, passing Hawaii as it is obliterated. President Wilson remains in Washington D.C. and is killed by a giant tsunami that sends the USS John F. Kennedy crashing into the White House. In his last moments, Satnam calls Adrian, informing him that an uncharted tsunami is engulfing India and heading towards the arks. Anheuser orders the arks sealed, trapping thousands outside. Adrian convinces the G8 leaders to let the remaining people board. As the ark's boarding gate is lowered and then raised, Yuri falls to his death getting his two sons aboard, and Gordon and a large power drill fall between the gears. The lodged drill prevents the gate from closing, rendering the ship unable to start its engines. The tsunami begins flooding the ark, setting it adrift. Jackson and Noah free the drill from the closing mechanism. The crew regains control of the ark, preventing a fatal collision with Mount Everest.

When the floodwater from the tsunamis recedes, satellite data shows that Africa rose in relation to sea level, and the Drakensberg mountains in KwaZulu Natal are now the highest on the planet. As three arks set sail for the Cape of Good Hope, Jackson reconciles with his family and Adrian starts a relationship with Laura.

 

Claiming the record for the biggest one-day gross, The Twilight Saga: New Moon raked in an estimated $72.7 million on approximately 8,500 screens at 4,024 sites. The Dark Knight was the previous title holder with $67.2 million on around 9,300 screens at 4,366 sites.

New Moon's first day more than doubled that of its predecessor Twilight, which debuted to $36 million on around 6,000 screens at 3,419 sites. Twilight's first weekend wound up at $69.6 million, which was also less than New Moon's first day. Due to fans storming theaters on its opening day, Twilight's first weekend was heavily Friday-loaded, leading to much lower grosses for Saturday ($21.3 million) and Sunday ($12.4 million). The fan fervor was even more intense for New Moon, so the picture will not maintain Friday's pace throughout the weekend.

New Moon's $72.7 million first day included an estimated $26.3 million from its midnight opening, which was also a record. The Dark Knight made $18.5 million on its midnight opening, which means it generated more business after its midnight showings ($48.7 million) than New Moon did ($46.4 million). The Dark Knight still holds the record for biggest weekend (Friday-Saturday-Sunday) ever: $158.4 million.

Also debuting, The Blind Side posted a strong estimated $10.9 million on approximately 4,100 screens at 3,110 sites, ranking as the highest-grossing opening day ever for a sports drama. 2012 plummeted 65 percent from last Friday to an estimated $8.1 million, lifting its total to $89.8 million in eight days. Precious expanded into nationwide release (629 theaters) and boasted a solid estimated $3.6 million, bringing its total to $14 million in 15 days. Meanwhile, Planet 51 opened to a modest estimated $3.15 million on around 3,400 screens at 3,035 sites.

Fueled by New Moon, Friday set another milestone: the first time the Top Ten movies tallied over $100 million in a single day. All told, the Top Ten movies grossed an estimated $104 million. The previous high, not coincidentally, was the day The Dark Knight opened, July 18, 2008, which came in at $97.5 million.

2004 American romantic drama film directed by Gil Junger and starring Jennifer Love Hewitt and Paul Nicholls.

Ian Wyndham (Nicholls) is a British Businessman who lives with his musician girlfriend, Samantha Andrews (Hewitt) in London. Ian takes Sam for granted making Sam feeling vulnerable in the role of the one who loves more. The first half of the film describes a single day which culminates in a row in which Samantha's frustration boils over. The taxi Samantha catches is hit by another car in front of Ian and she dies. An inconsolable Ian goes back to bed alone only to wake up at the start of the same day and Sam still alive suggesting that it had all been a dream. At that point, he comes to realize that he had been taking Samantha for granted; and as he comes to relive the same day, Ian is then given a second chance to correct his mistakes. He does his best to get it right the second time around and in the end, becomes the victim of the accident in his girlfriend's stead, as he holds her tight for the last time.

Kate Forster is moving out from her lake house, built all of it with glass. She is a doctor and has just begin to work in a hospital in Chicago, moving to a new flat in the center of the city. Alex Wyler is the new owner of the lake house, a young architect who's working in the construction of a new complex of houses at the city skirts. Alex and Kate are maintaining a correspondence, talking about the house matters, sending each other letters, which are put in the lake house's letter box. But a strange thing is happening, because both of them find out that the letter box is working as a kind of time communication channel, between the year 2004, where Alex's living, and 2006, the year that Kate's actually living. After sending each other many letters talking about their lives, and Kate talking to Alex about how life will be in two years, it seems like they're falling in love each other. But maybe they will never meet each other, because of the time distance. Nevertheless, Kate comes up with a memory from 2004, when she forgot a book in a train station, Jane Austen's "Persuasion", and she'll ask Alex to go to that place in that precise moment, when she lost the book. Maybe the future of Kate is about to change, when Alex decides to meet Kate's other self in the past, despite the fact that she has a boyfriend. They will learn that playing with time could be a little bit dangerous for both of them, but Alex will take everything into his hands to finally meet Kate in the future.
